Pam lives in Hampshire and is happily married to Brian who is enthusiastic to help Pam in this new role. Working full-time very unsociable shifts as a nurse, Pam has a lot of time at home during the day and loves sharing her spare time with her family and her two Doodles, Darcee a choccy female and Declann a cream male.

Pam didn’t have dogs as a child, but has made up for that by having dogs in the family since leaving home, firstly a Red Setter then a cavalier, and another cavalier……and yes, another. Three running in different directions was definitely a challenge. Sadly, 2 cavaliers passed away and Pam went to a local rescue centre for another small dog to keep the last cavalier company. The following day Ralphy came to stay. He was an Old English Sheepdog, about 6 years old and very large! He had been badly abused and neglected. Ralphy was in an awful state, but after lots of nursing and nurturing he settled into the family life and became a most loyal and loving dog. Sadly Ralphy passed away which in time turned Pam’s life into a love of labradoodles.

Since the start of Labradoodle Rescue (now Labradoodle Trust), Pam has made and sold bandanas (known now as Pamdanas) to help raise funds and has helped at dog shows as well as doing homechecks prior to dogs being placed in new homes. Pam is very keen to raise funds for the Trust in as many ways as possible and help with knowledge of allergy, molting as well as promoting the awareness training and health practices available from the Trust website.

Pam has a background of fundraising with a Primary school whilst she was Chair of Governors and currently she helps out with her husband’s Community Centre and the various activities there. Pam loves the outdoor life and has just started caravanning which is fantastic because the doodles can go along as well. Pam is hoping to enlist the help of many people to assist in raising funds and would welcome any offers of help or new ideas.
